Two Thirds is an original Taiwanese animation produced by Big Cat Studio, telling a story deeply connected to the sea of Hualien. This special exhibition showcases the animation's world, offering visitors a richer, more engaging experience through immersive interactive games and dining table projection show.
A clip showcasing the dining table projection animation I produced.
I designed various visual effects that interact directly with the plates on the dining table, utilizing light and shadow to evoke the atmosphere of the ocean.
Echoing the original Two Thirds animation, the final visuals transition into a golden hue, as various swimming and flying creatures converge among the dining plates.

The animal visual assets were generated by AI, which I then post-processed and refined within TouchDesigner.
The game on the walls allow the audience to capture animals on the projection using their smartphones. The scenes were meticulously designed to match the art style and settings of the Two Thirds animation.
I used AI to generate the base environmental images. To overcome the resolution limitations of AI outputs, I utilized TouchDesigner to create lighting flows and generate specific animated assets—such as light rays, plants, bubbles, and water ripples.

In these AI and TouchDesigner-driven visuals, I utilized AI-generated imagery as the foundational assets. To overcome the inherent low-resolution limitations of the AI outputs, I further processed and refined the materials within TouchDesigner. The audio-reactive elements are primarily expressed through gradient lighting and shifting shadows, creating a seamless interaction with the sound.

For the rock formations, I used Unreal Engine to rapidly block out the structures, establishing the initial lighting and shadows. These renders were then fed into an AI to generate the specific material I envisioned: the sedimentary limestone characteristic of the Hualien region.
For this visual, I utilized AI to generate the majority of the video assets, subsequently layering various effects within TouchDesigner. The volume of the live music directly controlling the growth and blooming of the flowers.
